Over night visitor, Beetle (Brian) Bayley arrived 805pm on Monday ferrying an ex NSW police R1200/P from Sydney to Perth, 1400 klm in 12 hours, Vince's front door in Sydney to my front door in Gladstone SA, left here this morning at 8am heading west.
Since the side car motor is stuffed, I have decided on a complete overhaul. Have modified the front down brace (under the steering head) to make it easier to remove the radiator. All it now needs is a newer bike to fit side car too. Will add a photo shortly.
Thats all for now.

Week horibulis

I do not like rushing things, but sh*t happens, I bought the 1995 Falcon be cause I was not happy how the Magna was over heating.
The Falcon was showing no signs of over heating or loosing water, BUT it blew the head gasket on Monday & it looks like it will cost a packet to fix.
So I went home to finish putting the side car back together & put 3 months rego on it, took it for a run, 8 klm when at 110 klm/hour the inlet cam stopped turning & it looks like I have bent valves on 2 cylinders & could also have cracked pistons, on advice of others the motor is stuffed so I am down to only having the MZ as transport for awhile.
If all goes well the Falcon will be back on the road by the end of February, the bike can wait till the land is sold.
So I will be on the look out for a K1100RT this winter.
Enough for now.

Put the timing chain cover, tappet cover & crankshaft covers back on the K1100 side car today before it got to hot, now need to put the front end back in, fit handlebars & fairing, road test, oil & filter change & the bike will be ready for another 2 years of use.
The timing cover was off to fix an oil leak that was with this motor when I fitted it 6 years ago (gawd how time flys), you can not rush these things.
It needs to be ready by easter for a possible run some where.
Expecting John C (from Bendigo Vic.) & mate from the UK any day now for a visit, better get some more Port in store.
When it cools down some more will get back to pouring some concrete & putting up the fence between the 2 blocks of land. Thats all for now, cut Ya tracks.
