Well today at 11 am the K100 motor after a lot of thought (3 days fiddling to be exact) was fired up, a little smoke but that soon cleared. A short road test and all was well. Now to find the time & money and go for a little trip, will do a few days road testing around home first.

Well I have spent the last week rebuilding the side car. I am using the K100 motor that I took out in 2001 to replace with the K1100.
I have put the K1100 starter motor clutch into the K100 as the K100 one needed replacing, as was the reason of going to K1100 7 years ago (how time flies)
Have used the wiring harness & butterfly body from the K100RT I bought in Wagga some time ago, ( Vince got the fairing & Beetle got the motor)
Found all the connections, used the best looking ICU & FIU I had, charged up the battery and fired it up. All lights etc. work, motor turns over,
I have fuel pressure & spark but no fuel injection.
Have tried every combination of the 3 ICU & 2 FCU I have but still no fuel injection.
The fuel injection relay gets power and is controlled through the ICU then the FCU, both units I am not able to check nor fathom out how they work.
If I can not get onto Frank Warner of Sydney, I am stuffed, will have to wait till I sell the block of land & buy another K1100 complete bike (or win lotto).
Well I still have the MZ.

Well the car is back on the road, used motor of about 130,000 klm & a new radiator, all up about $2000.
Vince of Sydney has not arrived, his BMW has broken down AGAIN, after the K1100 the only thing BMW about all the new bikes are the tank badges. IMHO
Today I was to do some concreting, BUT it is dropping water out of the sky, I think it is called rain!
Saw my old mate Graheme Cook on TV, he is station manager at Casey in Antarctica, have known him since he was 11 years old, (1963) I had to give him instruction on his movement from the Cubs to the Boy Scouts, I was a 19 year old Rover Scout then my self. Sent him an email & he rang me back on the mobile, it was good to here from him.
That's all for now.
